Other Requirements

You will also need the latest Java Runtime Environment installed (at least version 1.7) before you can install or use TC Smart. If you don’t already have the latest JRE, you can download it from here. If you are installing TC Smart on an Apple Mac, the JRE comes pre-installed with the most recent version of OS X (10.6 - Snow Leopard).

Updates

As new versions of TC Smart become available they will be automatically downloaded and installed by the software. You are not required to download updates from this website. If you have uninstalled TC Smart and wish to reinstall the latest version, then you can download it from here.

System Requirements

Please note the following are the minimum system requirements for TC Smart:

1. 512MB RAM
   

2. 512MB free Hard Disk space
   

3. Pentium IV CPU @1GHz (for Apple Macs you must have an Intel Core 2 duo CPU)
   

4. Java Runtime Environment version 1.7
   

5. Internet Connection
   

6. Windows XP™, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.6 or newer, or Linux (tested under Ubuntu)
   

7. Local Area Network (if you wish to take advantage of TC Smart’s multiple client feature)
   

Installation

Install the Java Runtime Environment you have downloaded, if you do not already have one on your computer. If you do already have one, you will be asked if you want to upgrade it (if it is old) or informed that you already have the latest version installed. Once you have installed the Java Runtime Environment, you can just double-click on the setup file you have downloaded to start the TC Smart installation process.
